HANCOCK, Richard S. age 78 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully at home Wednesday, March 11, 2009. He was born April 14, 1930 and was a 1948 graduate of Lebanon High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1990 from General Electric where he was a Sheet Metal Mechanic for 37 years. Preceded in death by his parents - Lloyd and Helen (Schenck) Hancock and his brother - George Hancock of Dayton, Ohio, he leaves behind his wife of 54 years - Anna (Creamer) Hancock of Lebanon, Ohio; brothers - Jack Hancock of Duncanville, Texas, Bill Hancock of Richardson, Texas; sister - Doris (Hancock) Stone of LaJolla, California; children - Janice (Gregg) Morgan of Centerville, Ohio; Bev (John) Ridings of Elmhurst, Illinois, Judy (Don) Trautmann of Sharonville, Ohio and Brian (Toni) Hancock of Middletown, Ohio; grandchildren - Angie Porter of Middletown, Ohio, Jill Black of Phoenix, Arizona, Amy (Nick) Graham of Middletown, Ohio, Tommy Hancock of Middletown, Ohio, Erin Morgan of Savannah, Georgia and Evan Morgan of Centerville, Ohio; 5 great-grandchildren - Austin Hancock, Zack & Bailey Porter and Addison & Alden Graham.
Friends may call on the family Sunday evening, March 15, 2009 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Monday, March 16, 2009 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Lester Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
